1st Day of Kindergarten

I want to remember this day. I want to remember how we both felt. 

Scared, excited, nervous, happy, ready....not-so-ready...

Griffinn officially started elementary school today on his first day of Kindergarten. Although he has been in preschool for the past 4 years this day was just different.

He was afraid. He was excited. He didn't know what to expect. I didn't know what to expect.

The one thing I do know is that we have a brave, strong willed, intelligent, amazing little boy who will blossom and grow this year in school and we couldn't be more proud of him.

Some tears were shed, but each day will get better...easier...more fun. It won't be long before I have to catch him on the fly for a goodbye kiss. 

It wont be long before we are packing up his things for him to go to college..

I'll try not to blink..

I am going to enjoy this day, this moment, this rite of passage for us both.
